- One of my computer's got stuck in dependency hell. This may have been due to locally compiled packages such as veracrypt and cinelerra. Next time I should probably remove all of these using aptitude before the upgrade. I installed Trixie on a new partition.
- The Nvidia closed source drivers are no longer working on the 1030 card.
- On an old Dell Optiplex 390 box there were kernel upgrade issues due to:
- the Realtek network driver: on 6.1 this was a module supplied by Realtek. On 6.12 the main Linux kernel handles this fine. Therefore, the r8168-dkms package needed uninstalling for the kernel upgrade to work.
- issues with watchdog, but which became broken in bookworm
- Wireguard was uninstalled and reinstalled
Issues with upgrading from Debbie and Bookworm to Trixie
